In June 2012, the Law Society of British Columbia approved rule changes allowing BC paralegals to perform additional duties under a lawyer’s supervision including giving legal advice to clients and making limited courtroom appearances as a part of a pilot project. These enhanced duties can be performed by a designated paralegal. Michele became a designated paralegal once these rule changes came into effect. This allows clients to receive legal services at a significantly reduced rate and enhances access to justice. Michele enjoys meeting with clients, assisting them with their paperwork and their legal matters.

Michele received her paralegal certificate from Capilano College and has specifically focused on the area of family law while working with Carol for the greater part of the last two decades.

Michele’s combined education and experience background has given her the skills to work in a busy family law practice and to work closely with clients during difficult emotional times.
